Likes: Quidditch, being outside, her broom, rain, sunflowers, coconuts, jokes, being amused
Dislikes: assignments, the library, people talking about her body, compliments, blonde jokes, Bertie Botts beans, losing
Strengths: Megan is confident in her abilities and in general, and one of those abilities is Quidditch. She'd do anything for her friends and she likes to think they'd do anything for her.
Weaknesses: It's impossible for her to be able to sit down and focus on her schoolwork, and she also reacts very poorly to losing Quidditch matches. Often, even though it's not her fault, she shuts down for a period of up to two weeks after a loss and will not speak to anyone. She doesn't care if sulking doesn't become her.
Quirks: She scratches the bridge of her nose when she's lying and pinches her earlobe when she's thinking. She also wrings her hands when she's nervous and bites the inside of her cheek when she doesn't know what to do.
Random: She has scattered scars from the chicken pox: the most noticeable of which are on her stomach and back and are never seen.

Personality: Megan is a typical Hufflepuff. She's as loyal as they come to her friends, though sometimes she fears people percieve it as clingyness, and she gets angry when someone hurts them. She's dependable. People can always confide in her and know she'll keep their secret (though she's been having a bit of a rough time with that lately). She loves being on the Quidditch team, and she loves her Aunt Susan, who spoils her almost endlessly much to the displeasure of Megan's parents. She's an only child, but she likes sharing a room with her friends. She stands up for herself and isn't easily upset. She doesn't cry often, and she can take harmless/friendly teasing and dish it right back out unless she's been upset somehow, in which case she won't be amused. When she is angry, Megan tends to be unforgiving for a long length of time. She's curious to a fault, though, and sometimes think she'd make a better newspaper columnist than a Quidditch player. She likes riddles and games, and is a fan of chess: Wizard or Muggle, though she's not especially good at either. She's not too horrible about losing, either, unless it's a Quidditch match.

She can be a bit of a playful flirt at times, but she sometimes scolds herself for it after if she's aware of it. Megan has two different typical behaviors when she's in a romantic relationship. She is either very independent or very girly, though she is affectionate in either (less in public with the first type). When she does fall, she usually falls hard, and then she tends to get a bit pessimistic about it. She doesn't have an explanation for it--it just happens. When there's no romantic involvement, she's fine, but once she feels something for the person, she might start doubting things (which she eventually gets over quite easily if she's convinced and pacified properly). As it happens, she's only said "I love you" to her family, and she's only heard it from them as well. Usually, she tends to run away from love and romance, and she's not quite sure the former exists.

Feisty, Megan finds amusement in threatening and lightheartedly taunting people. Her threats are rarely carried out, though she often threatens to punch her male friends. It's like a sign of acceptance for Megan: if you're a guy and you get threatened by her, she thinks you're okay. She does carry her threats out if she gets angry enough to, but ususally there's nothing to worry about. She blames her aunt for that behavior, and Susan gladly takes credit, even if it's not actually her fault. Megan also frequently slips insults into her conversations with her friends, and the vast majority know that she doesn't mean it. Megan would never insult any of her friends and mean it, but she can sure joke about it. When she does threaten people, she has a tendency to make it sound like she's capable of injuring someone. She has been known to throw a few not-so-little punches, but mostly, it's little dog syndrome. She likes thinking she's bigger and more ferocious than she is.

History: Douglas Jones grew up in Cornwall, England, born to two Muggles who expected him to become a lawyer. That changed around the time he was seven, when strange things began happening. Things like cups breaking when he was upset or angry about something, and he didn't get an explanation about it until years later when an owl dropped off a letter from a place called Hogwarts. It told him he was a wizard, which explained a few things, and after trips to London to get his school things, Douglas found out all he needed to know about the school so he was ready come September 1st. He was sorted into Hufflepuff and made the Quidditch team in his third year, playing as a Beater for the school. He was quite popular in his house, and even outside of it, and he nearly let his Quidditch status get to his head, almost acting like one of the professionals. But he'd always been a bit cocky like that.

Natalie Castle's childhood was significantly different from Douglas's. She grew up in a loosely wizarding family; purebloods had married muggleborns and eventually muggles so the magical blood was diluted over the years, but they still turned out magical children with the odd Squib every now and then. Natalie and her siblings all attended Hogwarts. Natalie was almost immediatley sorted into Gryffindor several years after Douglas. She got good marks throughout her seven years at Hogwarts, excelling in Charms and Arithmancy. Natalie married one of her housemates straight after quitting school, and the couple relocated to Staffordshire. The marriage lasted a few years, and it was when it began dissolving that she met Douglas. She'd gone to court to divorce her husband, and Douglas had been there disputing a ticket. She was almost immediately attracted to him, and the two began a courtship that grew into a marriage. It was almost exactly nine months into the marriage that their first and only child came along, and they named her Megan.

Megan was a pretty active baby, but easily pacified. If she had something colorful in her face, she was usually pretty content. Once she could walk, she liked chasing everything that would move, and then in Muggle primary school, she joined the football team and was put in front of the goal. She was better at that than at running after things, she found out. Even when her dad got her on a broom shortly after she started showing signs of magic, she was better at blocking than throwing goals. Sure, Megan's mother encouraged her in girlish activities (she'd had her enrolled in ballet until Megan could no longer stand it), but she liked Quidditch and football better. As she neared eleven, she slowly let football go, as well as her Muggle primary school. Her Hogwarts letter came, and Megan went with her parents to Diagon Alley, picking out an owl so she could keep in touch, finding a wand, and finding all her school books.

She made a few friends on the train ride, most of whom were sorted into other houses. She herself was sorted into Hufflepuff like her father. She wasn't cunning enough for Slytherin, or smart enough for Ravenclaw (though that wasn't to say she was stupid). She was brave, but the hat put her in Hufflepuff, and Megan was fine with that. She got along decently with her roommates, tolerating them when she couldn't adore them and respecting their boundaries as long as they respected hers. In her second year, she tried out for the Quidditch team, but she didn't make it until her third year. That was the year Cedric Diggory led Hufflepuff to victory against Gryffindor and Harry Potter, at least for one game. That was a good game, though, and Megan remembers it fondly. She'd had a bit of a crush on Cedric but never even thought about acting on it for the perfect knowledge that he was out of her league. She was deeply hurt when he was killed in her fourth year, and though she didn't want to believe Voldemort was back, the inexplainable reality of Cedric's death, combined with Harry Potter's word and Dumbledore backing him, pointed to just that.

Despite believing Potter, she didn't join Dumbledore's Army in her fifth year. Her parents wouldn't have approved of her getting in trouble, and with Dolores Umbridge as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor (though she did nothing, and Megan hated her with a passion), trouble was a definite probability. As it was, Megan earned herself a few detentions and meetings with Umbridge's quill for what seemed like no reason. After Dumbledore's death sixth year, things definitely looked bleak, but Hogwarts opened again the next year, and Megan was on the train back. She'd turned seventeen the year before and had enjoyed being able to use magic over the summer with her parents, Apparating almost everywhere she could. She Apparated to Diagon Alley to get her supplies on her own, but went to King's Cross with her parents as usual. It was the last time, of course, so she wasn't going to keep them from coming with.

Astrology: Hufflepuff Sagittarians are good-natured, cheerful, and clever, and their natural skill at teaching other people what they have learned ensures that they will be professors or magical tutors upon leaving Hogwarts. Their outdoorsy ways also give them a gift with all growing things and wildlife. These wizards have more difficulty than most wizards of their house applying themselves to their studies; Sagittarius is a sign of intellect, but not discipline, and it is painful for Hufflepuffs born under this sign to do homework when they'd rather be out on the Quidditch field or taking nature hikes. They will knuckle down, but not without protest. Although they are socially graceless, their good natures make up for any accidental offenses they may commit.
